Staycation: Not an Option

Summer is not yet over! There are still remaining weeks to enjoy and relax before going back to school. I’m sure you’d tell me beaches/pools are teeming with people plus there aren't much charming places near Manila. My dear, I beg to disagree! If you’re looking for one not too far from Metro Manila, better head off to Vista Venice Resorts in Morong, Bataan!

Vista Venice Resorts is your no ordinary destination. If you have had enough of the white sand beaches and you want to try other activities, VVR is the best place to visit. The resort has an adventure camp which offers a number of obstacle games. Being an adventurous, I tried wall climbing. Be ready though, this activity does not only require physical strength but mental strength too.

The camp also has zip-line and several obstacle courses. It surely is the perfect place for team building!

At the end of an action-packed day, you can chill out and try Volcanic Spa and Doctor Fish Spa. And if you’re into body massage, VVR also has in house masseuses.

Spending a night at VVR is also gratifying! It offers two Couples Room, four Suites, 18 Deluxe Room, and 13 Superior Rooms. Each room is neatly and beautifully designed with complete amenities.

Did you say you have had enough of white sand beaches? Oh please! You must experience the nearby beaches first. Both a 10-minute drive from the hotel, Westnuk Beach and Looc Beach are pictures of serene and quiet place. Unlike other beaches, these two beaches are not filled with tourist so one can really relax and relish its beauty. You can also try water activities. Both beaches are affiliated to VVR so reservations can be done with them.

Now why opt for staycation when there is Vista Venice Resorts? What are you waiting for? Pack your back and spend a day or two at VVR and experience the regal beauty of Bataan.

PS. By the way, if you are runner and you cannot afford to miss your training, believe me the resort itself is an awesome training ground.

Throwback: Sagada Adventure

I used to keep a blog to chronicle my random thoughts and activities. Unfortunately, the site closed down. Though I was not able to save my blog entries I managed to find the photos from my old fb account. Lemme share some of the remaining photos I got in my Sagada trip in 2008.

Nomad

When left with nothing to do one would surely think of ways to fight off boredom. Thus, I decided to clean my closet. I found a tin can with all sort papers in it. I checked what's in it and I was surprised to see old identification cards. I realized it all displayed different addresses:

Panabo, Davao del Norte
Mintal, Davao City
Diliman, Quezon City
San Antonio Village, Makati City
Sto. Domingo, Nueva Ecija

It only proved I lead a nomadic life.

Now let’s see how many years were spent in each place.

The first six years were spent in my hometown; Sto. Domingo. The next seven years were spent in Panabo. My family moved back to my hometown in 1996. Another four years were spent in Sto. Domingo. After which, I moved to Mintal to attend college in UP Mindanao. I stayed there for four years. The following year was spent in Diliman. I love Davao City that much so I spent another year in Mintal. The next four years were spent in Makati City where I worked. And in 2010 I decided to move back to my hometown. Now do that Math.

Did you find out how old I am? Haha
